Overview
From Clueless to code
Inspired by Cher's iconic virtual closet from the Y2K film Clueless, HangOn brings that vision to life as a real, functional iOS app, built with a sustainability lens as well.
Swift & XCode
Built natively in Swift using SwiftUI for the interface and Xcode as the development environment. A full-circle moment: Swift was one of the first coding languages I learned at Kode With Klossy.
Intentional fashion
HangOn helps users track what they own, identify what they actually wear, and make more conscious decisions before buying new. The goal is to reduce fashion waste one closet at a time.
Apple Store finalist
Selected as a Kode With Klossy finalist and invited to present HangOn live at the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago: in front of Apple staff, mentors, and a live audience.

Background
The idea for HangOn started years before this version existed. When I first learned to code, I wanted to build my own version of Cher's virtual closet from Clueless. In college, I built a prototype web app for a class project. When the Kode With Klossy mobile app challenge came around, I knew it was the moment to finally build the mobile version: the one I'd actually use every day.
Building it in Swift was a full-circle moment. Swift was one of the first languages I was ever introduced to, back at my very first Kode With Klossy camp. Coming back to it years later, building a full iOS app entirely on my own, felt like tangible proof of how far I've come since that first summer I learned what software development looked like.
What's Next
HangOn is currently in active development. Future implementations include backend integration for cloud storage, user authentication, and meeting Apple's HCI guidelines. Along with the goal of preparing it for a full App Store launch and real-world use by a broader audience.
Kode With Klossy is a registered trademark of Kode With Klossy, Inc. HangOn was created independently as part of the KWK alumni app challenge.
